I have used quiet a few different Taning solutions and sprays so was very keen to give the 100% natural TanOrganic Fake Tanning solution a try!
I am heading off for a long weekend to the Gold Coast to do the theme parks so I need a good tan before putting on the bikini on. I have naturally pale skin so I was eager to see how it would go on my skin tone.
Preperation:
As mentioned earlier, I have used a lot of different tanning products and the one thing I have learn't is if you want a great tan, you have to start with a good base (Skin Condition)
Applying
self-tanners to hydrated skin is just one key element to long lasting color. Once you exfoliate, and if you feel that you need to moisturise your skin, use a
water-based moisturiser to ensure that the skin is free to absorb all the tanning product. If you use an oil-based moisturizer before self-tanning, the oil can sit on the skin, creating a barrier that can cause self-tanners to streak! One quick way to tell if your moisturizer is water or oil based –> look at the first ingredient listed on the label. Chances are it’s water (Aqua) or possibly aloe vera, but steer clear if the first ingredient is an oil of any kind. Salt, sugar, and diatomaceous earth scrubs are an excellent way to exfoliate – just make sure they are not sitting in heavy oils and do not leave a residue on the skin. An easy way to make sure there is no residue is to wash your body after exfoliating with a body wash!
Just before applying your
tan try applying extra moisturiser to the drier areas such as your knees, elbows, hands, feet and ankles. This will prevent the tan from grabbing in these drier areas.
Applying the TanOrganic Tanning Solution:
The TanOrganic comes in a dark glass spray bottle because it is a natural product and as the company says;Plastic packaging can and will cause a chemical reaction. It is well researched that chemicals 'leach-out' through plastic and mix with products. Many manufacturers again rely on synthetic ingredients to 'protect' the product. Glass is inert and known to be the most protective container for naturally active ingredients. The dark colouring of the glass protects the ingredients from harmful UV light.
The OrganicTan tanning Mitt is such a great idea. On the outside of the mitt it has a soft velour type of material and on the inside it is linned with a waterproof material, so that as you apply the tanning solution it does not stain your hands! Most of us have had one of those experiences with orange hands :). And it is also much better than using disposable gloves as I found as I applied the tanning solution that it was very smooth going onto the skin and didnt leave any streak marks as the disposable gloves can give you.
The Organic Tanning solution had very little smell, infact it was quiet pleasant. I kept the tan solution on all day and did not get that horrable tanning smell that you tend to get with other fake tans. After having a shower at the end of the day my skin felt great - very smooth and hydrated and the colour looked very natural.
I also tried the
OilArganic - Argan Dry Oil Spray, which was just devine! It has a unique cocktail of 8 Plant Oils with the beautiful light fragrance of roses.
Oil Arganic is a truly unique argan oil for body, hair and face, as this wonderful, versatile oil may be used in aid of smooth velvet skin, silky hair, healthy strong nails and a wonderfully improved texture to stretch marks and scars.
I was very impressed with all of these products and now use the
OilArganic everyday after my shower!
